The troops of the 11 Sri Lanka National Guard assisted to clear a fallen tree at Sri Wijayarama Temple in Akkaraipattu on 10 January. The tree, toppled with the heavy rain and wind, had blocked the road leading to Dammarathana Sinhala School, disrupting traffic flow and causing a power outage.
In collaboration with the Akkaraipattu Municipal Council and the Electricity Board, the troops swiftly removed the fallen tree, facilitating the restoration of both electricity supply and transportation along the affected road.
