11 SLSR Troops Bid Farewell to Outgoing GOC

The troops of the 11 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (11 SLSR) arranged a formal ceremony to bid farewell to Major General W. Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 24 Infantry Division on 02 April 2024 at the 11 SLSR Headquarters.

In accordance with military traditions, a Guard Turnout was accorded upon his arrival by the troops of 11 SLSR. Subsequently, Major D.M.N Pathmasiri the Commanding Officer of the 11 SLSR, warmly welcomed the outgoing GOC at the entrance.

Adding memories to the occasion, the Senior Officer posed for several photographs with the staff of the Battalion.

Subsequently, the outgoing GOC, addressed the troops followed by an All-Ranks tea session.

The Brigade Commander 243 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the occasion.
