The 11 Sri Lanka Artillery (11 SLA) troops underwent Battalion training course at the Battalion Training School, Alankulam from 17 January 2024 to 05 March 2024.
12 Officers and 368 Other Ranks participated in the course. The course curriculum was designed to refresh and refine the participants' knowledge on various military subjects.
At the end of the course, a presentation on 'Pudumathàlan Awasan Satana' was conducted and the Commander, Security Forces Wanni, Major General W.P.A.D.W. Nanayakkakara RSP VSV USP ndu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The closing remarks was delivered by the General Officer Commanding, the 54 Infantry Division, Major General K.M.P.S.B. Kulathunga RSP ndu psc.
The following Officers and Other Ranks were awarded trophies:
- Best Student: Bombardier K.G.C Kahatapitiya
- Best Shooter: Lance Bombardier U.A Chinthaka
- Best in Physical: Lance Bombardier M. R. S. K Dharmasiri
- Best Company: 35 Battery
- Best Platoon Commander: Lieutenant D.A.H Thilakshana
- Best Section Commander: Bombardier G. M. P. L Girithale RSP
