Troops of the 11 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Central had its ‘Bakmaha Ulela’ (New Year Festival) with under command troops of the 11 Infantry Division on Tuesday (11) at 1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps camp premises in Pallekele.
The festival was filled with a number of Sinhala and Tamil traditional events, Tug-of-war, Selection of the “Avurudu Kumari” (New Year Princess), eye-placing on the elephant, bun-eating and several other games.
Major General S.R.B Aluwihare RWP RSP USP ndu psc gave away gifts to the winners in those New Year competitions and games.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, civil employees of the 11 Infantry Division and family members attended the ‘Bakmaha Ulela’.
