Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Infantry Division on 29 December, made his maiden official visit to the 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regiment in Pallekale.
The Commanding Officer of 5 (V) SLLI Regiment warmly received the visiting GOC and provided a comprehensive briefing on the battalion's current role and tasks before the General Officer Commanding addressed the troops.
Following the troops address, the General Officer Commanding visited the Victoria, Randenigala, and Rantabe Hydroelectric Power Stations, which are under the security responsibility of the 5 (V) SLLI troops.
