11 Infantry Division GOC Makes a Field Visit to 4 SLLI

The recently-appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Infantry Division, Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP made a formal visit to the 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment (SLLI) camp, located at Dambulla, Kiralagolla on 18 November.

4 SLLI troops warmly welcomed the visiting General Officer Commanding to the camp premises and the Commanding Officer, 4 SLLI presented a comprehensive briefing on the present role and tasks of the Battalion.

Next, the General Officer Commanding, 11 Infantry Division, together with the Commanding Officer, 4 SLLI had a close view of the camp compound and interacted with the troops before he addressed the troops.

He also sat for a group photograph, together with Officers and Other Ranks of the Battalion. Before his departure, he made a complimentary note in the visitors’ book at the 4 SLLI.

After the Camp visit, the General Officer Commanding, together with the Commanding Officer of 4 SLLI visited the Bowathenna Power Station.
