4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 17 Corps of Engineer Service troops of the 11 Infantry Division contributed their technical skills and manpower for the construction of the new two-storied school building at Hanguranketha Dimbulkubura Vidyalaya through the funds allocated jointly by the Ministry of Education and Ven. Sri Saranankara Wimaladammabhidana Thero.
The newly-constructed building was vested in the school children on 04 June during a simple ceremony, graced by the General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division, Major General S.R.B Aluvihare RWP RSP ndu psc.
To coincide with the inaugural ceremony, the sponsorship provided by the same above-mentioned Buddhist monk enabled the free distribution of school accessories among 157 school children in the school.
The sponsoring Buddhist monk, Senior officers, Officers, school teachers, and parents of the students participated in the event.
