11 Infantry Division recently celebrated its 14th anniversary amidst religious and military formalities under the guidance of Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 11 Infantry Division during 15-16 February 2024.
On the anniversary day, the GOC, 11 Infantry Division was warmly welcomed by staff Officers and saluted in a formal Guard Turnout before he was saluted in a ceremonial Guard of Honour. Later, the GOC addressed the troops.
Afterwards, adding significance to the 14th Anniversary, the GOC inaugurated the newly constructed Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess building and vested it in the troops.
Finally, the GOC participated in the formal All Rank lunch where he had the opportunity to interact with the Officers and Soldiers of the division.
