Brigadier Sarada Samarakoon assumed duties as the 10th General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Division under the Security Force HQ-Central, amid religious blessings and military formalities at the Headquarters in Pallekele on Thursday (03).
The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding of the 11 Division was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the 10 Battalion Gajaba Regiment. Later on, Brigadier Sarada Samarakoon placed his signature in an official document to mark his assumption of duties, amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ in the presence of Senior Officers.
