10th India - Sri Lanka Army to Army Staff Talks Held

The 10th India - Sri Lanka Army to Army Staff Talks took place on 09 July 2024 at the General Staff Branch conference hall, Army Headquarters. The conference marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

A four-member Indian delegation participated in the discussion, highlighting India's commitment to enhancing military cooperation. The delegation included Major General C.S Dewgun YSM, the ADG MI (A); Colonel Nitin Yadava, Colonel DCD (A), Captain M. Anand, Defence Attaché at the High Commission of India in Colombo and Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi SM, the Assistant Defence Adviser at the High Commission of India in Colombo.

The conference was presided by Major General S.A.N.D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, Director General General Staff of the Sri Lanka Army. The discussions during the conference focused on various bilateral matters of mutual interest. Key topics included training programs, bilateral visits and the acquisition of equipment aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of both Armies.

Senior Officers of Army Headquarters participated in the discussion.
