1000 dry ration packs, sponsored by ‘Derana’ Media Network were distributed among needy families in Pirappanmaduwa, Mahakaehchikodiya, Nandimithragama, Selalihinigama, Namalgama and Vimankallu villages through the coordination of the 56 Division HQ under the Security Force HQ-Wanni.
The ‘Derana’ feature "Manusath Derana" programme at first distributed those relief packs at Nandimithragama and Pirappanmaduwa villages on 21 August 2021 by adhering to the health guidelines.
The 563 Brigade Commander, Brigadier Panduka Perera, SFHQ-Wanni’s Chief Coordinating Civil Affairs Officer, Civil Affairs Officers of the 56 Division and the 563 Brigade, Commanding Officers and troops of 21 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment supported the distribution of those packs under the directions of the Major General Hemantha Bandara, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni and Major General Laksiri Perera, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division.
