Troops from the 10 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) reconstructed the partially damaged Kudariwaththakulam tank bund on 24 October 2024. The restoration, completed under the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 54 Infantry Division, guidance of the Commander of the 541 Infantry Brigade, and the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 10 (V) GW, within few hours.
Sri Lanka Navy personnel and officials from the Irrigation Department also participated, contributing to the swift and successful restoration effort.
