1 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) shooters, beating their rivals in the SLSR Inter Battalion Firing Meet emerged champions in the final round held at SLSR firing range, Ambepussa on Wednesday (08).
The tournament organized by SLSR troops of different battalions started on 29 May 2011 and drew a huge crowd of Army shooters and other enthusiasts. Brigadier A.M.R Dharmasiri, Centre Commandant, SLSR Headquarters witnessed the final meet as Chief Guest and gave away trophies and colours at the end of the Meet. Brigadier H Kulathunga Commanding officer 1 SLSR and 14 SLSR also were present at the ceremony.
1 SLSR shooters secured the first place and 4 SLSR shooters won the runners-up shield. The third place went to 14 SLSR shooters.
