Troops under the 1 Sri Lanka National Guard (1 SLNG) organized an event to distribute stationery, sports items, and toys to school children in various areas including Wadurassa, Ponhilawa, Kandubadagama, Weeragolla, Dekadawala, Katugampola, and Ma Eliya South within the Polpithigama Divisional Secretary Division on Friday (29 December).
The initiative was made possible through sponsorship from Hemas Foundations (Pvt) Ltd and a group of philanthropists. General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division, Commander, 143 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers and former Sri Lankan cricketer Mr. Roshan Mahanama also took part in the distribution programme.
