Troops of the 1st Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (1 SLNG), together with the Kurunegala Fire and Rescue Unit, police officials and villagers, promptly responded to a fire that broke out at the Yapahuwa Paradise Hotel on 21 May 2025.
Swift action by the combined team successfully extinguished the blaze and prevented it from spreading further, minimising damage to the property.
