The 1 Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps organized a school bag donation program for 150 needy students of Magurumaswila Vidyalaya – Wallalawita on 13 March 2024 at the school premises with the intention of uplifting the educational standards of the students.
Mr. Umesh Gunasekera and Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya, along with the coordinators of the ‘Atha Hitha’ Charity Organization, provided the required monetary assistance to the programme under the coordination of the troops.
The project was conducted under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division and the Commander of the 612 Infantry Brigade.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also took part in the event.
