The 1 Signal Brigade deployed at Salawa, Kosgama celebrated its 36th anniversary in a series of events followed by military formalities during 01 June 2024 under the guidance of Brigadier P.W.M.M.D Wijeratne RSP USP, Brigade Commander, 1 Signal Brigade.
The anniversary celebrations started with unveiling the name board of 1 Signal Brigade at the entrance. After a short while, the troops of 1 Signal Brigade raised the Sri Lanka flag and Army flag and sang National Anthem and Army song following the deep rooted military traditions.
Later on, the troops of 1 Signal Brigade together with the Officers planted a “Beli” sapling at the 1 Signal Brigade premises to mark the day. The anniversary celebrations marked its culmination with an All-Rank tea. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the anniversary events.
