1 SF Celebrates its 36th Anniversary

The 1 Special Forces (SF) Regiment celebrated its 36th Anniversary on 10 December 2024, under the guidence of Lieutenant Colonel D.D. Masinghe RWP USP psc, Commanding Officer of 1 SF. Major General J.P.C. Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) and Colonel of the SF Regiment, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Following the anniversary celebrations, a religious event and a remembrance ceremony for fallen war heroes were held at the War Heroes Memorial. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the occasion.
