On the instructions of the Commander, 1 Corps and under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, 58 Infantry Division, Major General W.T.W.G Ihalage RWP RSP psc ptsc, troops under 1 Corps marked the importance of Esala Full Moon Poya by giving free food in a ‘Dansal’ (free eatery) in front of the Anuradhapura Ruwanweli Maha Seya on Tuesday (01 August).
The treat included milk rice and tea for devotees attending religious observances at this historic place.
A large number of devotees enjoyed the hospitality of the 58 Infantry Division troops.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in this charity event.
