Major General Nishantha Manage, Commander, 1 Corps and Director General, General Staff made his maiden visit to the Special Force Brigade Headquarters at Mundimurippu, Vavuniya on Monday (13 March 2023).
A customary Guard Turnout warmly welcomed him to the SF Brigade Headquarters. The Commander Special Force Brigade, Brigadier Kamal Amarasinghe after greetings conducted a comprehensive briefing before the visiting 1 Corps Commander on the functions of the Special Force Brigade.
Afterwards, the Commander, 1 Corps was invited to plant a sapling in the Headquarters premises as a symbol of memory of his first visit. As part of the agenda, the Commander 1 Corps addressed the troops of the Special Force Brigade at the Corporals' Club premises and joined an All Rank tea where he shared his valuable experiences with Officers.
Finally, the visiting Senior Officer concluded his official visit by leaving compliments in the Visitors' Book.
