The novel software solution, known as the 'Ration Stores Management System' (RSMS), developed by the Directorate of Information Technology, was recently introduced to Laya Leisure, Kukuleganga on Saturday (13 Jan).
The software represents a significant step towards digitizing manual stock operations and an initial training session was successfully conducted for the staff. RSMS is an integrated web-based platform designed to streamline and manage stock control processes. It aims to improve efficiency by optimizing stock levels, establishing appropriate reorder points, and minimizing unnecessary waste.
Major J.H.H Perera, the Project Manager, and Lieutenant M.E.R Kumarasinghe, the Software Engineer, played pivotal roles in bringing the successful realization of this solution.
Colonel M.R Hameem USP, Colonel Information Technology officially handed over the system to Colonel R.M.H Jayatissa, General Manager of Laya Leisure Kukuleganga during a simple ceremony.
