‘Laya Safari’ Awarded ‘Loved by Guests Award 2020’ with ‘VIP Access’

Sri Lanka Army-managed hospitality provider, ‘Laya Safari’ Hotel in Palatupana, Yala has been awarded ‘Loved by Guests Award Winner 2020’ recognition by Hotels.com with a rating of 8.6 out of 10 points on the recommendations of Online Travel Agents (OTAs) which offer an easy-to-search data base for travellers.

The most popular travellers’ websites such as Expedia, Agoda, Booking.com and Priceline, etc through which most of the bookings are made world-wide have rated ‘Laya Safari’ as a top-listed holiday resort. Expedia.com meanwhile has rated ‘Laya Safari’ as the most trending holiday choice for customers in the past couple of years.

The ‘Loved by Guests Award Winner 2020’ is an achievement that has been secured by the ‘Laya Safari’ team through its dedicated guest service with best guest satisfaction while maintaining highest standards.

The award has also been simultaneously awarded to 35 other hotels across the country for the year 2020 and the presentation of the award would take place shortly, according to Colonel Lalith Hewa, General Manager, ‘Laya Safari’.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army on hearing of the award extended his congratulations to the management and wished them good luck with their future endeavours.

As at present, more than 40% of ‘Laya Safari’ bookings are done through the OTAs while 52% of global reservations and bookings is now directly done via above-mentioned data bases of booking websites.
