'Marians Unplugged' in Colombo Held with Packed Music Lovers


Amarasiri Peiris & Anjelin Gunathilaka Unplugged with Marians’, the mega musical extravaganza, organized by the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) Seva Vanitha Unit for the sake of raising funds for the welfare work was held at the Musaeus College auditorium Thursday (30) evening before  a large gathering of musical enthusiasts. 

Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army graced the entertainment programme as the Chief guest.

The show with a difference blended with the rising electronic music attractions, the 'Marians Unplugged' featured one of Sri Lanka's most challenging music of the ‘Marians’ group, led by popular  Nalin Perera.

For the first time, music veterans, Amarasiri Peiris & Anjelin Gunathilaka duo joined hands together to rend the air with best of the best in the music industry as rhythmic beats reverberated.

Music lovers who gathered at the Musaeus College auditorium enjoyed some of Sri Lanka’s most hit numbers during the Musical extravaganza.

The mammoth event was organized under the patronage of Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Adjutant General who is also the Colonel of the Regiment of MIR and Mrs. Dammika Hathurusinghe, Chairperson of the MIR Seva Vanitha Unit, with a view to raising funds for the welfare of valiant MIR war Heroes. The event drew a record audience. 

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne also present.
