Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C), commanded by Major General Sumedha Perera on account of the ‘International Day against Tobacco Use’ (May 31), arranged a lecture on Wednesday (3) at the SFHQ-C auditorium.
Dr Palitha Bandara Subasinghe, Judicial Medical Officer at Diyatalawa Base Hospital delivered the lecture which enlightened Army personnel on the dangers of tobacco use. The lecturer elaborated on the adverse impact it could bring on personality, health and the organization in general, exposing the floor for questions and answers.
A few hundreds of Army personnel attentively listened to the effective lecture which was meant to educate young Army personnel in this sphere.
Several senior officers, together with Army personnel participated in the arrangement.
