'Developmental Workshop' in Kilinochchi Enlightens Officers

 
With the objective of further enhancing military professionalism and grooming officers to take up commanding appointments, the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) launched a five-day long workshop on ‘Developmental Workshop for Senior Officers’ at SFHQ-KLN auditorium.
 
The workshop focused on a variety of topics such as ‘Awareness on Dynamics of Command’, ‘Leadership and Decision-Making’, ‘The Legal Aspects in the Present Environment and Laws Related to IHL and HR’, ‘Admin in Unit Lines with an Understanding, Exposure and Knowledge on Non Public Funds’, Psychological and Information Warfare’, ‘International Relations’ and ‘Professionalism and Dignity of the Profession of Arms’.
 
University scholars and professionals, including Brigadier (retd) R.M Jayasinghe, Brigadier W.R Palihakkara, contributed to the sessions in the workshop that helped achieve organizational goals and objectives.
 
Towards the final sessions of the workshop, current topics such as the crisis in Syria and its impacts on global stability, peace and security, latest communicative techniques, leadership, command, etc were taken up for discussion in a panel, including Colonel (retd) Dayan Athukorala.
