'Abimansala - 3' First Anniversary Marked with Religious Observances

The ‘Abimansala - 3’, the wellness resort for dependent War Heroes of the North Western Province at Pangolla, Kurunegala, bordering Deduru Oya turned one year old on 25 April.

To mark the first birthday, the administration, together with 47 dependent inmates, commemorated the first anniversary with religious arrangements.

Invoking merits on fallen War Heroes and blessings on all disable and serving War Heroes and their families, an all-night Pirith chanting ceremony, led by Ven. Ratnapura Saddhatissa Nayaka Thero, Incumbent at Ibbagamuwa Jinarathanarama Dethilianga Temple and 14 Buddhist monks, took place with the participation of the ‘Abimansala - 3' Commandant Lieutenant Colonel D.K Aludeniya, all inmates and a gathering of Army personnel. The following day, an alms-giving to the Buddhist monks brought the anniversary programmes to an end.
