In response to extensive flooding that damaged a road at Kottan Kulam, troops of the 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) swiftly undertook repair work under the guidance of Major General P.R. Pathiravithana USAWC psc, General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division and supervision of the Commander of the 522 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 1 MIR.
