  • Tamil Protesters Give up Red Tiger Flag for Black Banner

FOR YEARS, pro-Tamil demonstrators have proudly hoisted the distinctive red flag many associate with the banned Tamil Tigers, a group Canada deems a terrorist organisation. But on Tuesday, among about 10,000 demonstrators on Parliament Hill, those were nowhere to be seen, replaced instead by Canadian flags and stark black banners - symbolic, demonstrators said, of the civilians killed in the offensive by the Sri Lankan government.

  • Tigers in Sheep's Clothing - 'The Island' Editorial

TWO LTTE propagandists surrendered to the army yesterday. They are known as Daya Master and George Master––a former schoolmaster and a retired postmaster respectively. Interestingly, Daya Master, a one-time LTTE spokesman, was rushed with a police escort to Colombo for treatment during the UNF government, which earned notoriety for its shameless appeasement of the LTTE.

  • TAMIL TIGERS URGED TO END FIGHT - UN

A SENIOR UN official has urged Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels to lay down their arms and let the UN help trapped civilians to leave the conflict zone. • "Sathya Mevan Jayan"-TRUTH TRIUMPHS

NORTH: LET the TRUTH dawn on all World Powers, International Community and the misguided. TRUTH is always stranger than fiction. But the TRUTH will out and no one can UNTRULY keep it a secret for ever. TRUTH will triumph (Sathya Mevam Jayam), but it always takes longer because TRUTH has no limits. UNTRUTH will TRULLY have a natural death, sooner or later. They bragged and distorted everything possible, but were, in TRUTH, not knowing what was going on in the north, and in TRUTH the whole TRUTH. Had the TRUTH been given its due justice in correct perspective, Tigers in Vanni would not have received fortunes into the coffers to buy weapons.

  • Tiger Confessions And Intentional 'Blindness' of The WEST - Reader's Opinion

TAMILNET and other like minded web-sites are replete with harrowing stories, some authored by the Tigers themselves, of starvation among Tamil Civilians in the `Safe Zone’ to whom the Government has been supplying food and drugs. What is significant in these horror stories is that no one, not even the Tigers, say that a single Tiger is starving. If there is any truth in these stories, that can only be if the Tigers are robbing the Tamil Civilians of the food and drugs sent to them for their own purposes, thereby forcing those Civilians to starve.

  • A Major Victory on The Diplomatic Front - 'The Island' Editorial

STRAWS that Prabhakaran is clutching are snapping one by one. About two years ago after the army had begun its northward push and covered a considerable ground, Prabhakaran summoned some TNA parliamentarians to Kilinochchi and asked them to bring international pressure to bear on the government to give up its military onslaught and promised to hold out until then. Such was his unwavering faith in the international community. He was banking on India to bury the hatchet and come to his rescue. He expected his backers overseas to mobilise sufficient international support to scuttle the government's war effort. He made a terrible miscalculation!.....
