  • SF Commander's Intervention Saves Little Daughter's Precious Life


    In response to a personal and timely intervention of Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West), the life of D.G.N.N. Kumari (4 years) was miraculously saved in a major surgery at the Asiri Surgical Hospital after she was diagnosed, having a heart with two large holes a few weeks ago.

    The Ranaviru Commemorative Parade - 2015 under the theme ‘Let’s be Committed to Preserve Peace Won’ on Tuesday (19) paid tribute to Sri Lanka’s success story over terrorism and saluted unparalleled sacrifices of the Tri-services, Civil Defence Force and the Police in a colourful ceremony at Matara, headed by President Maithripala Sirisena who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

    A workshop to educate school students in Kilinochchi area on ‘Evolution of the Telecommunication’ was conducted by Mr. Upual Ekanayaka, a lecturer from the University of Moratuwa on Monday (18) to coincide with the World Telecommunication Day. It was conducted at ‘Nelum Piyasa’ auditorium, Security Force Headquarters, Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) with the participation of more than 300 students with the blessings of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.
  • 'Future Step' Enhances IT knowledge of SFHQ-W Troops


    Certificate awarding ceremony of the 2nd phrase of the Computer course conducted by ‘Future Step’ IT Solution Pvt Ltd was held at the library premises of the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) on Friday (15). The basic Computer course conducted for 17 days was initiated to broaden the knowledge on Information Technology (IT) among troops serving the SFHQ-West.
