In response to a personal and timely intervention of Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West), the life of D.G.N.N. Kumari (4 years) was miraculously saved in a major surgery at the Asiri Surgical Hospital after she was diagnosed, having a heart with two large holes a few weeks ago.

A workshop to educate school students in Kilinochchi area on ‘Evolution of the Telecommunication’ was conducted by Mr. Upual Ekanayaka, a lecturer from the University of Moratuwa on Monday (18) to coincide with the World Telecommunication Day. Certificate awarding ceremony of the 2nd phrase of the Computer course conducted by ‘Future Step’ IT Solution Pvt Ltd was held at the library premises of the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) on Friday (15). The basic Computer course conducted for 17 days was initiated to broaden the knowledge on Information Technology (IT) among troops serving the SFHQ-West.
