    The Army’s magnificent spectacle, Colours Night - 2012 that recognizes unmatched sports talents of Army personnel at both national and international levels, got underway Monday (21) evening at Musaeus College auditorium.   • Army Defamation Case: Court Re-issues Summons on 'Uthayan' Newspaper


    Defamation cases filed by the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya against Jaffna-based ‘Valampuri’ and ‘Uthayan’ newspapers were taken up for hearing before Jaffna District Judge on Monday (21). The Editor of the ‘Valampuri’ newspaper was present in the Court, and it was informed that summons could not be served on the ‘Uthayan’ newspaper. The Court re-issued summons to ‘Uthayan’ newspaper, returnable on 15th March 2013. The case will be taken up for hearing on that day.
