  • -œIMPAKT aid- provides stretchers to the Army hospital

    “IMPAKT aid,” an organization, established recently to assist tsunami victims, has come forward to donate a stock of portable stretchers and spray machines to the Military Hospital, Colombo, worth over Rs 300,000/= (US$= 3061) as a gesture of goodwill to the Army.

    LTTE, in what was seen as another orchestrated move to strain relations between the Security Forces and the public in Jaffna, once again went on inciting a section of mobs in the Jaffna town and its suburbs on Friday (04 March 2005) after an Army tractor caused death of a thirteen year old girl in a traffic accident near the Seylan Bank in Jaffna town.

N Seneviratne Challenge Trophy, ended on Wednesday (March 5) after Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) recorded a shocking victory (two goals, three tries, one drop goal and two penalties) over its rival, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (37-24).
