Coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, troops of the 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment laid the foundation stone for a new house for a needy Family in J/ 328 Kodikamam South GN Division on 10 October 2024.

Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding, 56 Infantry Division and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps was invited to the Office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, on 18 October 2024, along with his family members, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after a distinguished 35-year service.

Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces - Central and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) visited the 4th Battalion SLLI on 15 October 2024, following his assumption of duties.

Under the guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Central), and instruction of the General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division with the close supervision of Commander, 641 Infantry Brigade, troops of 4th Battalion the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) constructed a new house for the deserving families in Kiralagolla in line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

Under the guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Central), and instruction of the General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division with the close supervision of Commander, 641 Infantry Brigade, troops of 4th Battalion the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) constructed a new house for the deserving families in Kiralagolla in line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

In conjunction with their 27th anniversary, the 56 Division initiated another welfare project to address the basic requirements of all communities living in their area under the guidance of Major General S.Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding, 56 Infantry Division on 12 September 2024.

The Gajaba Regiment (GR) marked its 41st anniversary on 14 October 2024, with a series of events under the guidance of the Colonel of the Regiment GR, Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B. Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc.

Under the guidance of Major General E.M.M. Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, Commander of the Logistics Command and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), and in celebration of the SLAOC anniversary, the SLAOC launched a commemorative stamp and first-day cover on 14 October 2024, at the Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps in Dombagoda. The stamp represents the values of courage, dedicated service, and the important role of the Corps, featuring detailed artwork that highlights its rich history.

In line with the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, troops from the 2 Engineer Services Regiment (2 ESR) renovated a home for a deserving family in Tissawewa West, Anuradhapura. The housewarming ceremony, held on 15 October 2024, was graced by Major General J.P.C. Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander of the Security Forces (Wanni), as the Chief Guest. The renovation was conducted under the guidance of Major General T.A. Peiris ptsc, Logistics Commander (Wanni) and supervision of Major H.M.S.J. Bandara, Commanding Officer of 2 ESR.

Troops of the 12 Infantry Division took part in a blood donation campaign organised by the Royal College Red Cross Society at the Blood Bank of District General Hospital, Hambantota, on 12 October 2024.
