The Battalion Support Weapon (BSW) Course No. 87 (2024/II) for 29 Officers at the Infantry Training Centre (ITC) in Minneriya, conducted from 01 August 2024 to 14 November 2024, concluded in a certificates awarding ceremony.

The 31st anniversary of the Pooneryn decisive battle was marked with a series of events to honour the memory of fallen, missing, and wounded War Heroes on 11 November 2024.

At the request of the Principal of Kulugammana Premarathne Maha Vidyalaya Kandy, Major General K.A.U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding, 11 Infantry Division, graced the prefects’ investiture ceremony as the Chief Guest on 18 November 2024.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), delivered a leadership and motivational lecture on “Defining Success for Yourself and Your Team to Embracing Self - Belief and Confidence” to the Heads of Departments of the Northern Provincial Council at the Auditorium of Northern Provincial Council on 18 November 2024 on the invitation of Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayahan, Honourable Governor of the Northern Province and Mr. L Illaangovan, the Chief Secretary of the Northern Provincial Council.

The third batch of students from the National Defence College (NDC) were awarded their graduation certificates on 18 November 2024 at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Auditorium, Kotelawala Defence University. Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army attended the event as a distinguished guest.

The newly constructed Officers' Ward Complex at the Army Base Hospital, Palaly was ceremonially inaugurated by Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Force Jaffna on 16 November 2024.

Major General K.A.U. Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Infantry Division, participated in the ceremonial opening of a new Shrine and Buddha Statue at Sri Chakindarama Purana Maha Viharasthanaya, Gampola, on 10 November 2024.

On 16 November 2024 Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, conducted a formal visit to the 59 Infantry Division subordinate units, including 5 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, 6 Gamunu Watch, 6 Sri Lanka National Guard, 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and 10 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment.
