The 31st anniversary of the Pooneryn decisive battle was marked with a series of events to honour the memory of fallen, missing, and wounded War Heroes on 11 November 2024.

Under the guidance of the Chairman of the Gajaba Veterans Association (GVA), the Gajaba Regimental Centre facilitated the Poppy Flower Pinning Ceremony on 4 November 2024.

The 31st anniversary of the Pooneryn decisive battle was marked with a series of events to honour the memory of fallen, missing, and wounded War Heroes on 11 November 2024.

The 3 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) successfully concluded completed their battalion training course at the camp premises on 12 November 2024. The training was conducted by the Battalion Training School, Punani.

Under the guidance of Major General K.A.U Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division, the troops of the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) built a new house for a low-income family in Akurana, Kandy.

The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAOC - SVB) distributed dry ration packs to 24 civil employees serving at the SLAOC Regimental Headquarters and the School of Ordnance on 07 November 2024.

A school accessories distribution programme was held on 11 November 2024, under the guidance of Mrs. Damayanthi Bandaranayake, Chairperson of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (VIR-SVB), and Major General K.A.W.N.H. Bandaranayake USP, General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment VIR.

Under the guidance of Major General K.A.U Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding of 11 Infantry Division, the troops of the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) built a new house for a low-income family in Akurana, Kandy.

Under the guidance of Major General K.A.U. Kodituwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Infantry Division, a new house was built by the troops of the 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) for a low-income family in Udispatthuwa.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces (West), conducted an official visit to the 612 Infantry Brigade, Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps (SLAPC), and 9 Gemunu Watch (GW) on 11 November 2024.
