On 16 November 2024 Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, conducted a formal visit to the 59 Infantry Division subordinate units, including 5 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, 6 Gamunu Watch, 6 Sri Lanka National Guard, 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and 10 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment.

This visit focused on assessing operational readiness, boosting morale, and strengthening cohesion among the units under his command.

Upon his arrival, Commander Security Forces (Wanni) accorded with Drive pass and warmly welcome by the along with Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Junior Officers and Senior Non-commissioned Officers. After Commanding Officers were briefed on the responsibilities, role and task and the present commitment of their Infantry Battalions.

Finally Commander Security Force (Wanni) met the troops and penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book completing the day’s proceedings.
