The troops of 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) constructed a new house for a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the battalion at Lunupahichchawa, Madawachchiya. The project, carried out under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) VIR, was funded by contributions from retired and serving Officers and Other Ranks of 2 (V) VIR.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna), was honoured at a ceremony held on 19 November 2024 at the Valampuri Hotel, Jaffna, in recognition of his valuable social commitment and distinguished service to the people of Jaffna and Kilinochchi.

Seven young Officers took their initial step into the family of Mechanized Infantry as they graduated from the Mechanized Infantry Young Officers' Course No 13, conducted from 18 May 2024 to 12 November 2024 at the Mechanized Infantry Training Centre(MITC) Periyakaddu during a simple and serene ceremony.

The Security Forces Headquarters (Central) conducted a dry ration pack distribution programme on 13 November 2024 at the Golf Club, Diyatalawa.
