Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, inaugurated the relocation of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) Headquarters from Malay Street Colombo to its new site in Salawa, Kosgama on 11 November 2024. This relocation, conducted as part of the Sri Lanka Army’s restructuring process, represents a significant step in transforming the Army into a leaner, more capable, and technologically advanced force by 2030.

Under the guidance of Major General B.K.G.M.L Rodrigo RSP psc IG, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), a lecture titled "The Art of Living" was conducted on 06 November 2024 at the Headquarters’ Multi-Functional Hall.

The Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC-SVB) conducted a book donation programme on 08 November 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Panagoda.

Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Seva Vanitha Branch (SLCMP-SVB), in collaboration with the 4 SLCMP, conducted a donation programme at St. Lucas Elder’s Home in Puththur on 26 October 2024. The initiative was executed under the directions of Major General S.A.N.D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and the guidance of Mrs. Manisha Kotalawala, the Chairperson of SLCMP-SVB.

Major General M.S. Devapriya USP ndc, Quarter Master General of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, visited the 5 Reconnaissance Regiment on 2 November 2024.

The 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), celebrated its 16th anniversary on 01 November 2024 at the 16 SLSR premises with a series of military formalities under the guidance of Major W.H. Wickramasinghe RSP USP, Commanding Officer of 16 SLSR.

Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), officially inaugurated a newly constructed house for a needy family in Kandy on 09 November 2024. This project was initiated under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, in line with the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.
