Troops of the 1 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) of the 143 Infantry Brigade under the Security Force HQ- West coordinated one more community project for distribution of a stock of school accessories and stationery items to the value of Rs. 80,000/= among needy students studying in Thambarawa primary school in Wariyapola on 04 April 2023.
The community-oriented project launched at the request of the troops was sponsored jointly by several SDB bank branches. All the arrangements and beneficiaries for the programme were well coordinated by 1 Sri Lanka National Guard troops as per guidelines given by the Commander, 143 Infantry Brigade with the blessings of the 14 Infantry Division's General Officer Commanding and the Commander, Security Forces -West.
Several Officers and Other Ranks of the 1 Sri Lanka National Guard and members of the school staff participated at the distribution venue.
