Finals of the Inter regiment Handball Championship was held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium Thursday (14).
The final tussle between the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) team and the Gemunu Watch (GW) team made SLSR team emerge victorious. In the women’s event, 1st Sri Lanka Women’s Corps (SLAWC) won the Championship by defeating 3 SLAWC.
Private P.G.S Peries was selected as the best overall player in the men’s category and Private H.M Wasalakumari was selected as the best overall player in the women’s category.
Many sports fans and senior officers witnessed the occasion.
