Central Troops Join 'Bodhi Pooja' Pinkama

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ - Cen) on Poya Day, Wednesday (31) transferred merits on fallen War Heroes and invoked blessings on serving Army personnel during a special ‘Bodhi Pooja’ Pinkama.

Ven. Siyabalanduwe Hemaloka Thero, a resident monk at Viharakele Temple in Diyatalawa delivered a valuable Dhamma sermon during the Bodhi Pooja at the Bodhi Kanda Maluwa temple inside the SFHQ – Cen premises.

Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central graced the meritorious occasion.

A large number of Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civil staff of the SFHQ-C, together with members of the Volunteer Force Training School attended the day’s special programme.

Offer of ‘Atapirikara’ to the monk who conducted the ‘Dhamma’ sermon by the Commander, SF-Cen ended the arrangement.
