HE Ambassador for the Islamic Republic of Iran in Colombo, Mr Mohammad Zaeri Amirani this morning (5) extended a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake at the Army Headquarters.
A cordial exchange of views that followed touched on long-lasting relations that prevail between both countries and the importance of further strengthening mutual bonds. He also extended his warm wishes to Lieutenant General Senanayake since it was his first visit to the Army Headquarters after the incumbent Commander assumed office.
Major General Priyantha Jayasundara, Military Secretary at the Army Headquarters and Captain Mansour Chaman Pira, Military Attaché at the Iran Embassy Colombo were also associated with the coordial meeting.
The Ambassador left his signature in the Visitors’ Book before he took leave of the Commander of the Army.
