52 Division Troops Organize Donation Programme in Jaffna

Troops of the 52 Division in the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) organized a community welfare project in order to uplift the standards of education among Jaffna students.

Under the project, troops gave away school bags, pairs of shoes and pairs of socks to the value of Rs. 100,000/= to the students at Madihe Pannashiha Vidyalaya in Puttur on Friday (6).

On the directions of Major General Aruna Wanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 52 Division, this event was launched to coincide with the 68th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army.

During the distribution ceremony, each teacher of the school was also gifted with a pair of shoes as an incentive.

During the ceremony, 3 students who shone in the recent Grade 5 scholarship examination for the first time in the school history were also appreciated during the same event.
