A Bhodi Pooja and a sermon were conducted by Ven. Bengamuwe Nalaka Thero to invoke blessings on handicapped soldiers, to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Ven. Anagarika Dharmapala Thero.
It was held at the Non - Commissioned Officers’ training school, Saliyawawe recently. Mr. Gamini Keerthichandra, Chairperson for the Sinhala Association of the UK also took part in this meritorious event.
At the same time, the donors, accompanied by Venerable Bengamuwe Nalaka Thero, donated Rs.100,000 to the “Arunalu Govi Association” in Aliyawiddewewa to construct a few wells to obtain water for daily usage and agricultural needs of the farmers in the area.
