New Foreign Service Officers Visit SF HQ Jaffna


A team of newly recruited officers to the foreign service visited Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna (SFHQ - J) on Saturday (31).

The Commander Security Forces Jaffna Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe addressing the visiting Foreign Service Officers stressed the necessity of explaining the western countries of the peaceful environment prevailing among communities and also requested to try to make more friends in the international arena and use their skills to spread the message of peace that people are enjoying after defeating terrorism in the country.

As a part of their one year training on the Foreign Service, those cadets had been assigned to undergo one week package in Jaffna to familiarize with the Jaffna life and the culture under the aegis Government Agent Jaffna Mrs. Emelda Sukumar, a Super Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS).

During their stay they are scheduled to meet senior officials of the government sector and make field visits in the peninsula.
