VIR fallen War Heroes’ Families Receive Assistance

Following a concept of Major General Jagath Dias, Colonel of the Regiment, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), a special welfare programme was held for the benefit of the next-of-kin of fallen VIR War Heroes at the Regimental Headquarters-VIR, Boyagane on Tuesday (17).

During the programme, Major General Dias, together with several senior VIR officers inquired into prevailing problems faced by the families and took necessary actions to rectify them, providing solutions.

Speaking to the gathering later, Major General Jagath Dias emphasized on the importance of taking care of the welfare of VIR War Heroes’ families.
