More than 400 ladies and young lasses in Kilinochchi, including rehabilitated LTTE woman combatants on Saturday (7) at Iranamadu, Nelum Piyasa auditorium took part in a ‘beauty culture’ workshop after arrangements to this effect were organized on the directions of Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 57 Division.
Popular ‘Oriflame’ institute of cosmetics and perfumes offered their expertise at the invitation of the 57 Division, a move that was introduced to the area for the first time. Participants were extremely happy and keen on learning about this art of beautification during the event since it was a novel experience for them.
Several lady officers in the 57 Division interacted with them closely and helped those attendees to make the programme a huge success.
