Zambian Army Commander Calls on Navy Commander

The visiting Zambia's Army Commander, Lieutenant General W.M Sikazwe psc DIP (DSS) MA (DSS) during the rest of his itinerary on Monday (24) in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva at the Navy Headquarters.

The Zambian Army Commander earlier on the day called on the acting Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva at the Army HQ.

A Guard Turnout plus a Guard of Honour parade, accorded to the visiting Zambian military leader greeted him at the Navy Headquarters before he was conducted to the Navy Commander’s office.

During cordial discussions, they both discussed matters of bilateral importance, cooperation and issues, related to both organizations.
