Unemployed young men and women in Mannar and Talaimannar areas underwent a full-day training workshop for receipt of job opportunities in the garment industry sector, thanks to the initiatives taken by 543 Brigade Headquarters under 54 Division in Mannar.
‘Tri Star Apparel Export’ Company Limited at the request of the Commanding Officer of 25 Gemunu Watch (GW) serving 543 Brigade Headquarters, made a team of garment industry instructors available for the workshop on Sunday (16) at Talaimannar.
Soon after the workshop, the instructors selected 17 unemployed females for employment in their company at Ratmalana. In addition, more employment opportunities for the unemployment after proper training were offered during the same workshop in the field of cutting, designing and Juki machine work.
