The Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) with the intention of further strengthening its Quick Reaction Riders Team formed its own women soldiers team for the same purpose in order to support operational security needs in Mullaittivu areas.
Major General U.D Wijesekara RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commander, Security Forces, Mullaittivu taking the initiative in this regard provided a one month-long training course for those selected 8 women soldiers, belonging to the 4 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps.
Upon completion of their training, those women riders on Friday (21) during a simple ceremony received their rider equipment from the occasion's Chief Guest, Commander, Security Forces, Mullaittivu.
