Woman Overall Championship in Swimming Goes to Army Women
Sri Lanka Army swimmers achieved the overall championship (women’s) and runners-up slot (men’s) in the recent Wellawatte 6-mile open swimming tournament, organized by Wellawatte Kinross Aquatic Club.
In the tournament Lance Corporal T.H.K.S.I De Silva of 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) secured the 4th place while Private R.W. De Soyza of 4 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) got 2nd, 5th and 6th places.
